This is a traditional Chinese ancient village located in the south of Xuancheng, Anhui Province, east of Jixi, near the border of Anhui and Zhejiang Provinces - Songmuling Village, also known as Pine Tree Ridge, or Songling for short. The village belonged to the fifteen capitals in ancient times, and now it belongs to the administrative village of Shangcun in Jiapeng Township, which was built in the middle of the Ming Dynasty, with a history of more than 500 years, and now there are only seventy to eighty families in the whole village.
There are more than thirty old houses before the Republic of China preserved in the village, and the mottled walls exude a simple and elegant atmosphere. With beautiful scenery and peaks, well-preserved water outlets and terraces opened up by generations of people, vegetable fields in front of houses, and fragrant fruit trees, I personally think it is a very suitable ancient village for retirement.
